Page County Small Business Saturday Join us in support of our local small businesses! Saturday, November 25th is Small Business Saturday, a day to celebrate small businesses across the country and all they do in their communities.
A recent study of area businesses shows that for every $100 spent at a locally-owned, independent business, $68 is reinvested locally, whereas only $43 is reinvested when that same money is spent at a national chain. Making the shift to local independent businesses is one of the fastest ways to build a strong local economy, creating local jobs, and spurring investment in maintenance and expansion of local services and amenities.
This holiday season is a great time to show your support by patronizing your favorite small business and discovering new products and services offered right here in Page County. The Chamber of Commerce, County of Page, Town of Luray, Town of Stanley, Town of Shenandoah, Luray Downtown Initiative, and Shenandoah Valley Small Business Development Center are excited to participate in this national campaign in hopes to building community champions for our local businesses!
And, for three lucky people, shopping from our independent retailers this holiday season will yield more than just that warm and fuzzy feeling of supporting the local economy with an opportunity to win a locally sponsored Gift Card. To be entered to win, simply pick up your shopping passport at any participating retailer (look for blue and white balloons) and visit at least 4 local businesses to have it signed. Once you have collected at least 4 signatures, turn your passport back in to the welcome center be entered to win. Finishing your shopping after 2:00 PM? Drop your passport in the night drop box at the town office or swing by the Chamber of Commerce and leave it with out Chamber & Tourism Assistant.
We’re looking forward to seeing you shopping and dining local on November 25th! ... See more
